Euura tibialis
This is a long-established introduced species which breeds on False Acacia - a tree widely planted in Britain. The sawfly is 6-7mm and pale yellow with black markings. It has a large black spot on the top of the head behind and three black stripes on the thorax, the middle stripe shorter than the the two outside ones. The top of the abdomen has broad black bands though the apical tergite is unbanded. The legs are pale but femora can be slightly darkened and the hind tibia and tarsi are black.
The species is parthenogenic with males being very rare.

Larvae feed on False Acacia.
May to August
Uncommon but widespread in the south and east of England.
